AI agents

On call when your people can't be.

Every agent in TradesWork is built around one job your shop already does: answering the phone, replying to leads, fixing the schedule, checking invoices, chasing payments. Let it cover that job when nobody's there, or back up the person who does it.

How they're built

One agent for each job. Not one chatbot for everything.

Your CSR answers calls from the phone screen. Your dispatcher works the board. Your office manager reviews invoices. Each agent works from that same screen, with the same records and the same rules, so it does the job the way your person does it.

That's why you can hand an agent the whole job on a Saturday night, then flip it back to helper mode on Monday when your team is in.

Two ways to use every agent

Replace the job when you need to. Back up the person when you don't.

Flip the switch to see what each agent does in each setting.

When nobody's there: the agent does the work, inside your rules.

Your team works 8 to 5. The phone doesn't.

Work slips through the gaps: the 7 pm lead, the Saturday no-heat call, the job that ran long while the dispatcher was at lunch, the invoices nobody had time to check. The agents are set up to cover exactly those gaps.

  • 9 of 10 agents can cover their job on their own, inside the limits you set.
  • 1 only ever back up a person: customer collections texts always wait for you.

AI office help, at work

Watch it do the busywork. You make the calls.

Five everyday jobs TradesWork takes off your plate, played out step by step. It plans, drafts, writes up and answers. Your settings decide what it may do on its own, and the big calls, like moving the board or texting about money, wait for a person.

Illustration. At 12:50 pm Marcus's water heater job is running 150 minutes long, so two of his later jobs would miss their arrival windows. The dispatcher asks for a re-plan of the rest of today. TradesWork proposes two changes, each with a reason: move job 10221 to Priya, who is free and 9 minutes away, keeping its 1 to 3 pm window, and give job 10225 a new 4 to 6 pm window because window changes were allowed for this plan. Before and after numbers show drive minutes going from 164 to 171, windows kept from 8 of 10 to 9 of 10, and revenue at risk from $1,415 to $0. Nothing changes until the dispatcher taps Apply; the board is re-checked first, and the one customer whose window changed gets a text.

A rules-based planner makes every assignment and AI explains it. Promised windows only move if you allow it for that plan.

AI office help

Like an extra office manager who never sleeps.

TradesWork keeps an eye on the busywork that eats your evenings: charges techs forgot to bill, invoices nobody chased, members who are due for a visit, supplier bills that need checking. It does the work and lines it up for you.

You're always the boss.

None of these helpers texts a customer until you tap approve. Prefer it handles the low-risk stuff on its own, like adding a missed invoice line? Flip a switch. Changed your mind? Undo it within 24 hours.

Waiting for you this morning

4 things to approve

Time saved

0 min

  • Missed charges

Add 2 parts Marcus forgot to bill

His notes mention a capacitor and a disconnect that aren't on invoice 4119. That's $186.

  • Unpaid invoices

Send friendly reminders to 6 customers

Each invoice is more than 3 days past due. The pay link is added when it's sent, and nothing goes out until you approve it.

  • Maintenance visits

    Schedule 11 spring tune-ups

These members are due in the next 30 days. Nothing is booked until you say so.

  • Supplier bills

    Approve a $2,314.60 supplier bill

It matches your purchase order, but one part costs 8% more than last time.

Try it: this is a working example with made-up customers.

AI assists for technicians

Optional, inside the screens your techs already use.

The agents cover office jobs. In the field, AI stays out of the way: a row of assists on the appointment, the equipment record and My truck that a tech taps when it saves a call or a supply-house trip. The visit works exactly as before, none of it is a required step, and each assist can be switched off for the company or for one person, with daily cost caps.

  • Scan to part

Photo or typed model to matching parts, with truck and warehouse stock. Never orders by itself.

  • Gauge & meter reader

Superheat, subcooling and a charge check; voltage and amps against the nameplate.

  • Fault finder and panel reader

Likely faults from photos, each with a confidence and a confirming test.

  • Code check

Cites your adopted code editions from a curated library. Always: verify with your AHJ.

  • Job story

Found, did, recommend, with before and after photos, in English or Spanish. The tech edits it first.

  • Replace or repair

A transparent score, then good, better and best with monthly payments in one tap.

Ground rules

Helpful agents, with you in charge.

You pick the setting

Each agent is off, backing up your team, or covering the job. Change it any time, per agent.

Some things always wait for you

Collections texts, supplier bill approvals and automation texts wait for a person, whatever the setting.

Small changes can be undone

Invoice lines added, member visits booked and cost updates staged on their own can be reversed for 24 hours.

Every action is on the record

What it did, why, and whether a person approved it, written to the audit trail.

The AI receptionist is in early access: it needs a voice service switched on for your account, so confirm it during your trial before you rely on it at night. AI features need AI turned on in Settings; without it, booking member visits, matching hand-entered bills and rule-based automations keep working.

Hire the night shift.

Start a free trial, turn on one agent, and watch what it catches before you let it take the whole job.
