Switch from ServiceTitan

Everything you need. Nothing you're stuck with.

TradesWork works the way your office and techs already think, using the same words as ServiceTitan. The difference: a price you can see, no multi-year contract, and an app your techs won't complain about.

  • Your customers & price book in minutes
  • No setup fee
  • Month-to-month

Side by side

What changes when you switch.

Price

Not published. Every plan says “request pricing”.

Source: servicetitan.com/pricing

Published per-tech prices with a public calculator.

Contract

Typically a 12-month minimum, 24 or 36 common, auto-renewing with a 30–60 day notice window.

Source: FieldCamp, citing BBB complaints (third-party report)

Month-to-month. Annual is an optional discount that never auto-renews at a higher price.

Getting live

Onboarding reported at three to six months or more; several features need a call to support to switch on.

Source: fieldproxy (third-party report)

Self-serve setup checklist; every feature has a toggle you control.

Texting invoices

Invoices go by email; texting needs a portal-link workaround.

Source: ServiceTitan help: invoice your customers

Every job has one text link: estimate, approval, invoice and payment.

Offline pricing

Its dynamic pricing needs an internet connection, so a tech in a basement may not see prices.

Source: ServiceTitan help: dynamic pricing

Prices are saved on the phone, so options and member prices work with no signal.

Technician app

A legacy app and the newer Field Pro app documented side by side.

Source: ServiceTitan help: Field Pro

One app for iPhone, Android and web, in English and Spanish.

Crews on the board

Its automatic dispatching (Dispatch Pro) skips jobs that need two techs or several days.

Source: ServiceTitan help: Dispatch Pro

Install crews and multi-day jobs are planned like any other job.

Credit holds

A credit hold shows a banner but doesn't stop booking.

Source: ServiceTitan help: collect what you're owed

A credit hold blocks new bookings in every channel until someone overrides it.

Other tools

Its public API has no instant notifications (webhooks), so other apps have to keep checking for changes.

Source: ServiceTitan API catalog

An open API with instant notifications, so your other tools stay in sync. Works with AI assistants too.

Leaving

Getting a full export at the end of a long contract is reported as hard.

Familiar from day one

Same platform. The menus your team already knows.

TradesWork opens in a ServiceTitan-style layout with ServiceTitan's words for things. Coming from Housecall Pro, Jobber or FieldEdge instead? Each person can pick the style they know. The data, features and reports behind it are the same, so nobody learns a new vocabulary on top of a new system.

Menu words in this style:CallsScheduleDispatchAccountingPurchasingFollow UpPricebookTasks

Real TradesWork screens, demo data. Same jobs, customers, features, reports and integrations in every style; each person picks their own in Settings, and the company sets the default. The technician app uses the same words, in English and Spanish.

ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber and FieldEdge are trademarks of their owners. TradesWork is not affiliated with them; the styles only arrange TradesWork's own menus and words the way their users know them.

How the switch works

See your own business in TradesWork in about 10 minutes.

No retyping customers. No weekend of chaos. Move at your own pace and switch for good when your ServiceTitan contract is up.

  1. 1

    Day 1 · 5 minutes

    Start your free trial

No credit card and no sales call. Want to look around first? Load your data into a practice company you can throw away.

  2. 2

    Day 1 · about 4 minutes

    Four exports and one connection

Export your price book, customers, locations and marketing contacts from ServiceTitan (a timed checklist shows exactly where to click), drop them in, and connect the QuickBooks file ServiceTitan already syncs to. You see a preview before anything is saved.

  3. 3

    Day 1 · about 10 more minutes

    Bring your history

Build a few reports once in ServiceTitan (jobs, invoices, memberships, equipment) and drop them in. Memberships come over with billing switched off until you start it.

  4. 4

    Days 2–14

    Run both side by side

Schedule those ServiceTitan reports to email TradesWork every day, and TradesWork stays in sync automatically. Open A/R is reconciled to the penny against QuickBooks.

  5. 5

    Week 2

    One crew, then the office

Run one crew on TradesWork while the office keeps going. Job numbers pick up where ServiceTitan left off, so nothing collides.

  6. 6

    At your renewal

    Say goodbye to ServiceTitan

Keep ServiceTitan as a read-only archive until your term ends, then request your final export. No stressful switch-over weekend.

No surprises

Exactly what comes over, and what doesn't.

Switches go wrong when someone promises “everything”. Here's the honest list.

Comes over from your files

  • Customers and locations

From ServiceTitan's customer and location exports, with contacts, tags and balances.

  • Equipment

Linked to each location, with ages decoded from serial numbers where we can.

  • Price book

Services, materials, equipment and categories, with your prices and costs.

  • Job and invoice history

Past jobs with their numbers, business units and techs, and invoices with paid status. History never re-posts to your accounting.

  • Memberships and visits due

Active plans and upcoming maintenance visits. Billing stays off until you choose to start it, so nobody is charged twice.

  • Open work

Open estimates for follow-up, office tasks, and open A/R, reconciled to the penny when you connect QuickBooks.

  • Email opt-outs

Unsubscribes and bounces from ServiceTitan Marketing, so you never email someone who opted out.

Handled another way

  • Stored cards

Card data lives with ServiceTitan's processor. Customers re-save a card from their TradesWork link; old autopay keeps running until they do.

  • Phone numbers

Porting runs on carrier time, usually days. Calls keep routing in ServiceTitan until it completes.

  • Photos, attachments, call recordings

No bulk export for customers. Request them in writing with your final data export.

  • Automations, forms and custom reports

Not exportable. Rebuild the few that matter from TradesWork's ready-made automations, form builder and reports.

  • Reviews

They live on Google and Yelp, not in ServiceTitan, so they stay where they are.

Timing your exit

Switch at renewal, on your terms.

Four steps to leave cleanly. This isn't legal advice: read your own agreement, and talk to a lawyer if there's a termination fee on the table.

  1. 1

    Find your renewal date.

Notice is often due 30 to 60 days before you renew. Put it on the calendar today.

  2. 2

Ask for your data in writing first.

Before you give notice, request a full export of your data and files by email.

  3. 3

    Start TradesWork alongside ServiceTitan.

Bring over your customers, equipment and price book, and let one crew try it.

  4. 4

Move the office, then give notice.

When you're confident, send written notice inside the window.

See what you'd save.

Which TradesWork plan?

Per tech, per month, billed yearly. Office staff are free.

ServiceTitan (estimated)

TradesWork

Our published price, no setup fee

$13,344

You could keep, in your first year

ServiceTitan doesn't publish prices. Its numbers here are middle-of-the-range estimates from third-party sources (about $245–$500 per tech per month, plus a $5,000–$50,000 setup fee), and leave out add-ons and renewal increases, so your real savings are usually bigger. Card processing fees aren't included on either side.

Questions

What owners ask before switching.

Read the full switching guide

No. ServiceTitan's API terms don't allow a competitor's migration tool, so we don't pretend otherwise. Instead you export files from ServiceTitan's own screens, which your contract says you're entitled to, and drop them in. A working account takes about four exports and a QuickBooks connection; full history takes a few more reports you build once.
