What every septic estimate needs
- Your business name, contact details and license number
- Estimate number, date and how long the price is valid
- Clear options (good, better, best) with what each includes
- Warranty terms and any permit or inspection fees
- Deposit required, if any
- A place for the customer to approve and sign
Pricing septic work
- Price pumping by tank size bands or per gallon, with disposal fees shown as a separate line so price changes at the disposal site are easy to pass through.
- Add clear charges for digging to locate and expose lids, extra hose length, and difficult access, and explain that risers remove the digging charge on future visits.
- Price inspections by type and scope. A transfer inspection that follows a local form takes more time than a visual check during pumping.
- Build truck cost into your rate: fuel, maintenance, insurance and payment on the truck, divided by working days, plus crew wages, overhead and margin.
