What every siding estimate needs
- Your business name, contact details and license number
- Estimate number, date and how long the price is valid
- Clear options (good, better, best) with what each includes
- Warranty terms and any permit or inspection fees
- Deposit required, if any
- A place for the customer to approve and sign
Pricing siding work
- Price replacements by the square (100 square feet of wall area) for the main siding, then add separate lines for trim, soffit, fascia, wraps, house wrap, tear-off and disposal.
- Apply a waste factor to measured squares; complex homes with many corners and openings need more than simple boxes. Track actual waste to refine it.
- Build labor from installer cost per square (or subcontractor rate) plus your supervision, overhead and margin.
- Put a hidden-damage allowance or unit price for sheathing replacement in the contract so rot found during tear-off is handled cleanly.
