A full Jobber backup is about a dozen CSV files and a folder of PDFs and photos. There's no single "download everything" button. Clients export from the Clients page, products and services from Settings, and everything else (jobs, visits, quotes, requests, invoices, payments) comes out as reports from Insights, Reports, each emailed to you as a CSV.1
This guide walks through every export one at a time. Each one has an animated illustration of the click path Jobber's own help center describes, the exact steps, the columns Jobber documents, and the catches. Run them while you have full access: once your billing period ends, you lose access to your data.2
What you'll end up with
Here's the finished backup, and what each file is good for if you're moving to TradesWork. Files marked "Keep as archive" are still worth having: they're your record for warranty calls, disputes and year-over-year numbers.
- clients.csvImportsCustomers, each address as a service locationFrom Export Clients. Tags and a second phone number land in the customer's notes.
- products-services.csvImportsPrice bookName, description, price, cost, taxable and category.
- one-off-jobs.csvImportsJob historyJob number, client, title, dates and status. The old total is kept on the job.
- recurring-jobs.csvPartlyJob history (not schedules)Recurring work arrives as past jobs. Set up memberships or recurring visits by hand.
- invoices.csvImportsInvoice history with balancesNumber, dates, total and what's been paid. Open balances stay open.
- quotes.csvKeep as archiveNothing yetQuotes stay in Jobber for now. Keep the report and PDFs of open quotes.
- visits.csv, requests.csvKeep as archiveArchiveWho went where and when, and the requests you received.

Before you start: role, plan and deadline
Three checks save you a wasted afternoon.
Your role. Only admin users can export clients, and admins see every report.3 1 A non-admin needs the Reports permission, which an admin turns on under gear icon, Manage Team, then the user, Custom permissions.1 Each report also needs permissions for the records in it, and people only see reports for features they can access.1 The simplest route: have an admin run everything.
Your plan. Jobber's help center says client exporting and reports are "available on select plans" without naming which ones.3 1 If an export below is missing, check gear icon, Account and Billing and ask support before your last week.
Your deadline. You keep full access until the end of the current billing period, or the end of the full term on an annual or 1-year commitment plan. The end-of-term date is listed under Account and Billing.2 Work back from it.
Use a computer. Reports are on jobber.com, not the Jobber app.1
1. Export your clients
This is the most important file.
- 1Clients
- 2More Actions
- 3Export Clients
- 4CSV
- Select Clients in the side menu.
- Select More Actions in the top right corner, then Export Clients.
- In the pop-up, choose CSV.
Jobber emails you the file. It includes tags, property addresses, contact details and custom fields.3 Each CSV holds up to 1,500 rows, so if you have more than 1,499 clients you'll get several files in the email.3 Combine them in Excel and check the total row count against the client count Jobber shows.
Gotcha: tag filters. If you pick tags before exporting, only clients with every selected tag are included.3 For a backup, pick none.
2. Export your products and services
Your price list exports from Settings, not from Reports.
- 1Gear icon
- 2Settings
- 3Products & Services
- 4Export to CSV
- Click the gear icon, then Settings, then Products & Services.
- Scroll to the export box near the bottom of the page.
- Click Export to CSV.
With fewer than 50 items the file downloads straight away. With 50 or more it's emailed, and over 1,500 items you get several emails with up to 1,500 items each.7 Jobber doesn't list the export's columns. Its import template uses Name, Description, Unit Price, Taxable, Category and Active, plus Unit cost and booking fields on select plans,7 so expect roughly those.
3. Export your work reports
Everything else is a report. The pattern is the same for each one:
- Sign in on jobber.com and go to Insights, Reports.1
- Open the report and set the date range to All time (or one year at a time for big accounts).
- Click Export to CSV, then choose All columns, not Selected columns.1
The file goes to the email address you sign in with.1 Sorting you applied on screen isn't included in the file.4
One-off jobs
- 1Insights
- 2Reports
- 3One-off jobs
- 4Export to CSV
- 5All columns
Under Work reports, open One-off jobs report. Columns include created date, client name, lead source, title, schedule start, closed date, job number, who visits are assigned to, total revenue, client email and phone, custom fields, line items, invoice and quote numbers, and billing and service addresses. With job costing you also get expenses, time, labour and line item costs, and profit.4 Date range options run from Today to All time or a custom range.4
Permissions beyond admin: full client and property info, quotes, jobs, invoices, reports and show pricing.4
Recurring jobs
- 1Insights
- 2Reports
- 3Recurring jobs
- 4Export to CSV
- 5All columns
Columns include job number and title, client contact details, service and billing addresses, billing type, automatic invoicing, line items, total, completed visits, number of invoices, schedule start and end, and custom fields. There's no job costing in this report.8 Filters include client, billing type, active or closed, and started date up to All time.8
Visits
- 1Insights
- 2Reports
- 3Visits
- 4Export to CSV
- 5All columns
Each visit with job number, date, title, completed, job type, client details, service address, assigned team, line items, value, scheduled duration, time tracked and custom fields.5 The date type is either Start within or Unscheduled, so run both if you have visits nobody has booked yet.5 Deactivated team members still appear in the report.5
Quotes
- 1Insights
- 2Reports
- 3Quotes
- 4Export to CSV
- 5All columns
Columns include quote number, client, service location, salesperson, title, status, line items, subtotal, total, discount, deposits, linked job numbers, who it was sent to, whether it was viewed in Client Hub, and the drafted, sent, approved, converted and archived dates.9 Dates filter on one of Drafted, Approved or Converted within.9 Permissions beyond admin: View all quotes, View all reports, Show pricing.9
Requests
- 1Insights
- 2Reports
- 3Requests
- 4Export to CSV
- 5All columns
Requested-on date, client contact details, service address, title, assessment date, who it's assigned to, the quote and job numbers it turned into, status, and answers to your request form questions.10 Non-admins need View reports and View all requests.10 Gotcha: request questions only return answers when the question wording matches exactly, so renaming a form question splits old and new answers.10
4. Export invoices, payments and balances
These are under Financial reports on the same Reports screen.1 Open balances change daily, so plan to re-run the last three on your cutover date.
Invoices
- 1Insights
- 2Reports
- 3Invoices
- 4Email CSV
- 5All columns
Every invoice in the date range. Click an invoice type at the top (such as Draft or Awaiting payment) to filter, and use Columns to add custom invoice fields.11 Jobber's invoice article doesn't name this report's export button, so the steps above follow the general reports export.1 Leave the type filter off for a full backup.
Transactions list
- 1Insights
- 2Reports
- 3Transactions list
- 4Paid or Deposited
- 5Receive Excel Copy
Invoices and successful payments in the date range. Click Paid or Deposited to show payments only, then Receive Excel Copy to have it emailed.11 Run it twice, with and without the payments filter, if you want both views.
Aged receivables
- 1Insights
- 2Reports
- 3Aged receivables
- 4Email CSV
- 5All columns
Overdue invoices grouped by how late they are, with client email and phone available as optional columns.11 As with Invoices, Jobber's article doesn't name the export button for this report, so the steps follow the general reports export.1 If you only see a different button, use it: the Report Scheduler app can also email Aged receivables as CSV.6
Client balance summary
- 1Insights
- 2Reports
- 3Client Balance Summary
- 4Email CSV
Who owes you and who has a credit, with name, balance, paid to date, invoiced, phone and email.12 Gotcha: All time starts from the date your Jobber account was created, so if you entered older invoices or deposits, use a Custom range that starts before them.12
5. Export the Clients report (cards on file)
This one is easy to miss, and it's the only way to see who has a card saved.
- 1Insights
- 2Reports
- 3Clients report
- 4Columns
- 5Export to CSV
It's under Client reports. Add the Payment method on file column: for clients with a saved method it shows the card's expiry date, and a dash for everyone else.13 The same report carries lead source, UTM fields, quote, job and invoice counts and conversion rate.13 Sort the file by that column and you have your re-collection list.
6. Save documents, photos and attachments
PDFs. Open any quote, job or invoice and select More Actions, Download PDF. For requests, use More Actions, Print and save as PDF.14 It's one at a time, so prioritize open quotes, unpaid invoices, recent work under warranty and anything in dispute.
Photos and files.
- 1Clients
- 2Files and media
- 3Select All
- 4Download
Open a client, go to the Files and media tab, tick files or Select All, and click the download icon. You can't select files across clients in one action, and Jobber includes this library with the Plus plan or Marketing Suite.15
Note attachments. When one note has five or more attachments, click its three-dot icon, choose Export files, then Send email, and Jobber emails a zip. With fewer than five, save each one by hand.16
What you can't export
Be realistic about these:
- Saved cards. Jobber stores cards "securely through your Jobber Payments account."17 Its help center doesn't describe any way to export or transfer them, so plan to re-collect.
- Photos in bulk across all clients. Per client only, and only where you have the Files and media library.15
- Three reports. Taxation, Waypoints and Job Follow-ups can't be exported because they aren't CSV reports.1 Screenshot or print what you need.
- Automations, templates, checklist set-ups and Client Hub settings. No export is documented. List the ones you rely on and rebuild them.
- Memberships and equipment. Jobber doesn't keep these as records, so there's nothing to export. Recurring work lives in the Recurring jobs report.

What happens to your data after you cancel
| Question | What Jobber says |
|---|---|
| When does access end? | End of the current billing period; on annual or 1-year commitment plans, end of the full term2 |
| Can I get a refund for unused time? | Fees are non-refundable, with no refunds or credits for partial months18 |
| Notice for annual plans | Cancel at least 30 days before the renewal date18 |
| Does Jobber promise a data export at termination? | No export right is stated; the terms say you're responsible for keeping backups18 |
| Can I ask for deletion? | Yes: on termination you can request deletion, subject to the Privacy Policy's retention rules18 |
| What if I close the account? | Owner only, after cancelling. The information "will no longer be retrievable"14 |
Your own exports are your only backup. Jobber's terms don't describe a termination export you can request, so don't wait for one. Our guide on how to cancel Jobber covers the order of steps and the renewal traps by billing option.19
Final export checklist
Your Jobber backup
- Jobber end date and 30-day annual notice date in your calendar
- Clients CSV (every file in the email), row count checked
- Products & services CSV
- One-off jobs and Recurring jobs reports, All time, All columns
- Visits report, Start within and Unscheduled
- Quotes and Requests reports
- Invoices, Transactions list, Aged receivables and Client balance summary
- Clients report with Payment method on file
- PDFs of open quotes, unpaid invoices and disputed work
- Photos and attachments for the clients that matter
- Screenshots of Taxation and anything else that won't export
- List of automations, templates and checklists to rebuild
- Every file named with its date, stored twice outside Jobber
- Balance reports re-run on cutover day
Spot-check each file: row counts, a few clients you know well, and invoice totals against Jobber's own screens.
How TradesWork imports these files
If TradesWork is on your list, here's what it does with your Jobber exports. Under Settings, Integrations, Import from ServiceTitan, press Jobber in the row of source buttons and drop in your files: CSV, Excel or a ZIP, up to 50 MB at a time. TradesWork reads each file by its column headers, asks you to confirm when it isn't sure, and shows a preview before anything is saved. You can import into a separate sandbox company first. You need the Owner or Admin role.
It brings over clients, addresses as service locations, job history, invoices with balances, and products and services as your price book. Quotes stay in Jobber for now. Rows it can't read go to a list you can download as CSV, fix and drop again, and re-dropping newer exports updates the same records rather than duplicating them. Imported history doesn't post to accounting.
One honest caveat: the Jobber layouts were built from Jobber's help pages and common column names and are still being validated against real exports. Keep your original files. TradesWork never logs in to Jobber; it only reads files you export. The full plan, with real screens of each step, is in our Jobber to TradesWork migration guide.
If you're still deciding, TradesWork vs Jobber is a fair look at where each one wins, including why Jobber is cheaper for one- and two-person shops.
